Who supports a flat tax

The flat tax is a way to shift the tax burden from the rich, who own and earn the majority of wealth in the nation, to the poor who own and earn the least amount of wealth in the nation. I think republicans are more supportive of a flat tax. However, I believe a flat tax is still not fair. People that make more money are still required to pay more than their fair share.
